Spring Garden Workshops

Healthy gardens and landscapes are based on simple choices we make in our own backyards.

  • Collecting free water when it falls from the sky
  • Treating the soil right to keep it healthy
  • Growing your own food

These are easy steps we can take to improve our own lives and our environment. Healthy soil gives us healthy plants full of nutrition without the harmful residual chemicals that store bought produce contain.

Learning as a group with expert guidance by seeing and doing makes the process fun and fulfilling.

Plus we will have lots of extra bonus discounts and giveaways throughout the workshop series.

Want more personalized guidance? Consider booking one of our 90-minute consultations.

We have partnered with the San Marcos Historical Society to show off their brand new sustainable Donor Garden landscape. This area is a living demonstration of rainwater harvesting, healthy soil and California native plants. In this series of workshops we will be teaching and demonstrating how to get the best out of your landscape with minimum effort, no harmful chemicals and very little water. Join us for one or all!

April 1st –How to Build 3 inches of Amazing Soil in 2 Months

This Hands-on Workshop shows you the secrets

If you have:

  • Soil so hard and compacted that you can hardly dig

  • Soil that is clay, sandy or DG (Decomposed granite) that doesn’t hold enough water or holds too much

  • Plants and trees that look sickly or die

  • Very little good/healthy top soil

  • Soil with no life- no worms – just dead and dry

Then do yourself, your plants and your yard a favor by taking this hands on workshop. Learn from this 2 hour workshop and finally have a yard with  gorgeous, dark, fertile soil.

A vibrant landscape can only grow from healthy soil. It’s not just “dirt” – it’s a thriving ecosystem of soil microbes! And the more we fuel it, the stronger our plants, foods, and climate become. As the old adage says, “The stronger your roots, the stronger your fruits.”

Many traditional gardening practices weaken the soil’s ecosystem. But, with a little knowledge and a few small adjustments, we can strengthen and harness the army of soil microbes to grow beautiful, low-maintenance plants.

In this hands-on workshop, you will learn:

  • 5 common gardening methods that weaken our soil

  • How to turn troubled soil into healthy soil

  • How to build 3 inches of rich topsoil in 3 months

  • 5 steps to a low-water, low-maintenance, beautiful yard

  • How to reduce your landscaping water bill by 95%
